Mission

We’re here to make whole-person care feel more connected, personal, and accessible. Our providers work together to support the whole picture of your life, offering thoughtful care that meets you where you are and fits what you need.

Our dream is to create a different kind of healthcare experience, one where you feel seen, heard, and supported by a team that truly works together. We’re taking the work out of coordinating care by bringing providers together to collaborate in real time, with you and with each other. That means less repeating your story, fewer gaps between providers, and a care team that stays connected so you can focus on feeling better.

Vision

We envision a healthcare experience that feels a little more human. One where you don’t have to piece together your own care or repeat your story at every stop. Instead, your providers work together to understand the bigger picture. We’re working to add other services to our practice that meet the needs of our White Bear Lake community.

Our story

Lake & Valley began with a simple idea: care works better when we work together. What started as a therapy practice has grown into a collaborative care team offering therapy and psychiatric medication management, with occupational therapy, nutrition, and additional services on the horizon. As we grow, our goal stays the same: to create a place where people can find thoughtful, connected care all under one roof.

Meet our team!

Biography

I’m the owner of Lake & Valley and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I also serve as an adjunct professor at the graduate level, training future therapists and bringing that same passion for thoughtful, relational care into my work with clients.

I work with individuals and families ages 5 and up, offering an empathetic, genuine, and nurturing approach. I focus on practical, sustainable changes that fit your life and goals, while keeping the bigger picture in mind.

I have a particular interest in the family-building season of life and am trained in perinatal mental health, adoption, and foster care. I also work with twice-exceptional individuals, anxiety, and trauma. When helpful, I enjoy collaborating with providers, schools, and other support systems to make sure your care feels connected.

The human behind the credentials:

When I’m not wearing my therapist or professor hat, you’ll usually find me with my family, a coffee in hand, or enjoying the little pockets of life that make a busy week feel a little more manageable.

Life is full. There are busy seasons, beautiful seasons, and plenty of days that are somehow both. I’m a big believer in making room for the things that keep us grounded, connected, and feeling a little more like ourselves.

Biography

I believe therapy starts with relationship. You deserve to feel accepted, understood, and comfortable being yourself, and I’ll take the time to get to know who you are, what matters to you, and what brings you to therapy. I see my role as a co-traveler, not someone who has all the answers. Sometimes therapy is about finding new answers, and sometimes it’s about creating enough space to discover the answers you already have within you.

As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), I’ve worked with families, caregivers, and young adults across a variety of settings. Before joining Lake & Valley, I worked as a Multisystemic Family Therapist with teens and their families, supporting youth with high-risk behaviors by looking at the larger systems around them, including family, school, community, and other providers.

I bring that same collaborative, client-centered approach to my work today. I enjoy working with individuals and families and partnering with parents, caregivers, and other providers when helpful. My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, stress, family conflict, parenting, adoption and foster care, and school-related concerns.

As someone who knows what it’s like to sit on the other side of the room and ask for help, I consider it a privilege to hear your story and walk alongside you through whatever brings you here.

The human behind the credentials:

When I’m not working, I’m usually spending time with my family or finding a reason to get outside. I love camping, being in the woods, and enjoying the slower pace that comes with a weekend outdoors. Some of my favorite moments are the simple ones spent around a campfire, exploring somewhere new, or just being together with the people I love.

Biography

Life can be tough, and you don’t have to go through it alone.

I work with adults 18+ who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for a space to slow down and make sense of what’s going on. I especially enjoy working with students from undergraduate through doctoral programs, parents of young children, people in high-stress careers, and those exploring their identity and what it means to live more authentically.

People come to therapy for all kinds of reasons. Some of the areas I commonly work with include anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, grief and loss, family-of-origin concerns, self-esteem, eating and body image, relationships, gender identity, and sexual orientation.

My approach starts with getting to know your story. Together, we can explore how your past experiences, relationships, and the world around you have shaped the way you see yourself today. I see therapy as a space to better understand yourself, reconnect with what matters to you, and figure out what comes next.

I provide telehealth services to clients in Minnesota and Florida.

The human behind the credentials:

When I’m not working, I’m usually planning my next trip, spending time with family, or settling in for a good reality TV binge. I love traveling and exploring new places, but I’m just as happy hanging out with the people I love and catching up on whatever reality show everyone is talking about. I’m a big believer in finding the little things that make life fun, especially when life gets busy.

Biography

I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and I genuinely enjoy helping people navigate the complicated, messy, and sometimes unexpected parts of life. I work with children ages 6+, adolescents, young adults, and couples, creating a space where people can feel comfortable being themselves, ask questions, and know they’re being heard.

I work with a range of concerns, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, bullying, behavioral and adjustment challenges, anger, parenting, grief and loss, PTSD, self-harm, sleep concerns, and stress. For those who would like to include faith in their therapy, I also offer Christian counseling and can incorporate your spiritual beliefs and values into our work together.

With children, I believe therapy doesn’t always have to look like sitting and talking. Play, games, creativity, and storytelling can give kids a natural way to express what they’re feeling, build trust, and work through things that can be hard to put into words. Parents are an important part of a child’s world, so I often partner with parents and caregivers along the way.

My approach draws from psychodynamic therapy, attachment theory, CBT, and feedback-informed therapy. Most importantly, I tailor our work to you and what you need. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life.

The human behind the credentials:

When I’m not at Lake & Valley, I’m usually spending time with my family and getting outside. I enjoy the simple things that make life feel full, whether that’s a good conversation, time together, or getting out and doing something new. I think those everyday moments matter, and I try to bring that same genuine, down-to-earth perspective into my work with clients.

Starting therapy can feel like a lot of things. Maybe you feel hopeful, overwhelmed, unsure, or some combination of all three. My goal is to create a space that adapts to you and honors your pace. Sometimes it’s about slowing down enough to understand what’s happening, finding language for experiences that have been difficult to put into words, and figuring out what you want to do next. I’m here to walk alongside you through that process, offering support, curiosity, and a space where you can show up as you are.

Biography

I’m passionate about working with children, families, and young adults, and I bring a genuine, calming, and easy-to-talk-to presence to therapy. I believe in meeting people where they are and helping them find a path forward that feels right for them. With 20 years of experience as a school social worker and nearly a decade as a psychotherapist, I bring a deep understanding of the educational, social, emotional, and family systems that shape our lives.

I’m especially passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals and helping clients better understand themselves, recognize their strengths, and feel more confident navigating life’s challenges. My goal is to create a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself while building skills and finding ways to feel more grounded.

My approach draws from art therapy, play therapy, experiential therapy, mindfulness, yoga and movement-based calming strategies, and family systems approaches. I believe caring for the whole person means paying attention to the connection between our minds, bodies, relationships, and environments. Together, we can find approaches that help you feel more regulated, connected, and able to move toward the goals that matter to you.

At the end of the day, I feel most grounded when I’m helping others, enjoying a beautiful sunset, or sharing a good meal and a lot of laughter with family and friends.

Biography

I am passionate about working with families, couples, and individuals who are managing both physical and mental health conditions or couples/families going through various life transitions, and relational stress. We don't exist in isolation, especially when on the long journey of chronic health care. I work within an integrated and collaborative care model, viewing the problem from a holistic standpoint and alongside other members of the care team in order to best serve all areas of the client's life. What does this chapter of life look like? What is possible?

I have worked with a variety of clients in multiple spheres of care, focusing on skills and adapting our cognitions. I care about helping people through experiences of depression; anxiety; trauma; stress; neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer’s, Lewy Body, and Parkinson’s; grief & bereavement; and other health conditions or relational stress.

It is my joy and privilege to work alongside you as you rewrite your story, using systems theory and narrative approaches. I would love to have a conversation about what kind of care you're looking for. If it's one session or a long term therapeutic relationship, you don't need to navigate this chapter of life alone.
